When I first heard that they were making a Goosebumps movie I didn’t really know what to think about it. My first initial response was the typical “Cool.” But in all honesty I was curious as to how they would go about it. I’ve seen the old TV show or TV specials, have some of the books (even though they were my brothers), and heard of some of the movies that they made. But that was all in the 90s’. How exactly would they go about making a movie when it’s been about ten years? Would it be over another book? A re-boot of an old film? Actually they make it about the books themselves with R.L. Stein even being in the movie; creating the book series to keep the ghosts and monsters locked up inside. From the looks of it, it does actually show some promise. They get Jack Black to play R.L. Stein and I’m not entirely sure what to make of it. Not that I see that as a problem, Black has done some outstanding roles, I’m just curious as to how he would play this one out. But what do you think about this idea? Would you be interesting in seeing it? Are you for or against this casting choice?
